DESCRIPTION

Supervises daily operations to ensure that food safety, product preparation, cleanliness and inventory control standards are maintained. Schedules and supervises staff. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs all tasks and responsibilities of a Shift Manager as outlined in the Shift Manager job description and also Pizza maker

2. As needed, supervises food preparation to ensure that food safety and operations standards are maintained.

3. Coordinates and supervises staff so that standards of cleanliness are maintained as outlined in the Gianni’s Operation manual

4. Manages a staff of approximately 4 to 12. Assigns, oversees and evaluates work. Recommends promotion, transfer, or termination of employees. May conduct written and verbal staff evaluations.

5. Performs paperwork duties and assists with product orders and inventory as needed.

6. Assists with planning of special events and promotions.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience & Skills: Experience in restaurant operations, preferably with supervisory experience. Requires excellent communication skills, ability to deal with all levels of employees. Computer knowledge is desirable. Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally

DESCRIPTION

Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates. Duties & Responsibilities: ♣ Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment. ♣ Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served. ♣ Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. ♣ Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period. ♣ Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications. ♣ Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment. ♣ Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating. ♣ Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes. ♣ Handles, stores and rotates all products properly. ♣ Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed. ♣ Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Place pizzas in brick oven without the use of screens directly from wooden peel to oven You will be required to prepare a cheese pizza in 1 minute or less ou will need to work quickly, efficiently and clean and keep up with customers orders Expect to prepare a wide variety of pizzas, Stromboli's and Calzones as well as thick crust Sicilians.. Aside from pizza you will be responsible for preparing garlic knots as well daily. The other duties such as cooking other meals, such as subs or dinners, salads, chicken wings may also fall on your shoulders if need so by manager.
